The UAE will receive tourists who have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
This will apply to tourists from countries where travel to the UAE is restricted, as authorities announced on Saturday.
The new directive is applicable from August 30, the Federal Authority for ldentity and Citizenship (1CA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said in a joint statement.
As on August 21, the WHO has approved the
following vaccines: Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech,
Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Oxford/AstraZeneca, Covishield (Oxford/AstraZeneca formulation), Sinopharm and Sinovac’s CoronaVac.
Those with tourist visas can register their
vaccination certificates on the AIHosn app to
“enjoy the same benefits” that vaccinated
residents in the UAE do, the statement added.
